Pefabloc® PK is employed to inhibit plasma kallikrein (PK) competitively. Pefabloc® PK is used in chromogenic assays for the determination of factor XIIa activity in plasma with Pefachrome® FXIIa. Pefabloc® PK suppresses undesired cleavage of the substrate by plasma kallikrein.
